The absence of High Priestess Maxine , and High Priestess Shannon, I notice how all the sermons are written by High Priest Hooded Cobra.

This short staffed situation, has left me in a position where I'm wondering if us dedicated members could help in some way?

I know Hooded Cobra, you mentioned before how people don't have to be priesthood necessarily to make serious contributions, however the short staffed situation with the clergy has left me rather concerned in regards to when or if, we will have new clergy members, appointed in time, and what us dedicated members could potentially do, to improve our favor and standing, in the eyes of the Gods, to be appointed to a position like this?

I'm aware like the rest of us that having only serious advanced members appointed to these positions is definitely the ideal prerequisite, to prevent issues like Magestein.

I was just curious on this and was wondering about the thoughts of my fellow brothers and sisters as I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling this way.

Everyone is free to write good posts, adress important issues, give advise, you don´t need a HP title for this.

Imagine if VoiceofEnki or brother Blackdragon became Hps. I think they are extremely wise and dependable. But maybe they don't feel fully ready yet.

Yes you all are absolutely correct. I appreciate your thoughts, as I feel similar to how you both do in regards to this, but I guess at times I just get a little more concerned then I should, in regards to the absence of clergy members.

I also fully agree to those members you mentioned being ideal candidates for clergy.

That and there's a bunch more, like Lydia, and many others.

I am considering trying to be more active on the forums, once I figure out in what way i could be useful in contributing, as I sometimes get writers block often. Lol.

I told black dragon before that I can see him as a high priest for black people and HPS Shannon said she sees this aswel in him but then he told me the Gods decide this.

Patience. The Gods have the affairs sorted out and times will stand under more light in the next period.

Naturally, I am inclined to go 'behind the scenes' or to be staff on boards. In such a case as this, however, I would not want to because I would not be confident enough with such important and serious matters. I currently am not one of the more advanced members, and I admit that; so this also would not put me in high stead as being a HP, of course. If I were to be a mod, then with approval and getting mod rights, it would be a non-HP mod rank/position/role for moderating posts, checking reported posts, etc., if that was available. I couldn't guarantee 100% online time; maybe 10-25% or less, i.e. about as often as I come on now, with some leeway needed which means I might be online quite a bit less at times, but at least my small amount of input as a non-HP moderator would help somewhat.

Then again, I can remember HPHC mentioning that sometimes I say funny things or sometimes I say nonsense things (I can't remember his exact wording). With that in mind, I wouldn't or shouldn't be chosen to be mod; however, I would add in my siggie that I'm not a HP and not to take my replies as 100% correct, that I am simply a non-HP mod, a member who has low-level moderator rights, to be able to do a bit of pre-moderating for posts, disapproving spam posts, etc.

Usually on forums, user ranks are colour-coded. Founder/s and admins are red, mods are blue, etc. The colours can be customised, also. Along those lines, I think it is safe and fair to say that newbs are treated with caution and suspicion; members have earnt some respect or at least a reputation; 'advanced' (you could say) members, i.e. those upped from pre-moderation, are... well... upped from pre-moderation, so they have been trusted; even though there doesn't seem to be an official on-forum status/rank for this Astrologers are higher than these upped members if the Astrologers have gained respect/trust/reputation; then the mods are higher; global mods are higher than the mods; then admins are the highest less the founder, who is the highest. (One could say the server owner is higher than the founder if the founder does not own the server, even if the server owner is not actually on this forum e.g. HPS Maxine rented server space; the company she rented from owns the server and can turn off the site at any time; if HPS Maxine owned the server, then she is (was) the highest of all on the forum. Now with HPHC being the only staff member, (obviously I don't know as I can't see it but it seems to be that) he has become the founder (unless, of course, HPS Maxine still is the founder, and HPHC is just top admin.)

As has been said, being on the staff requires proven abilities and understanding, etc. I suggest a non-HP role, which I think technically would be less than moderator, since mod is HP-level, non-HP-level would obviously be less than that, so non-HP mod would be like member with low mod privileges and responsibilities.

Having such a non-HP/member-with-low-mod-rank position may bring with it its own problems. Anyone could pretend to be good and decent and build up trust, etc., over time, then do very bad things. Of course, with HPHC's Spiritual abilities and/or him consulting with any God or Goddess, some trustworthy members could become non-HP mods, perhaps.

Of course, if this is a very bad idea, then nevermind.

It was not too long ago when HC666 Himself posted that some members have been more useful than some past HPs.

More important than the title itself is of course the contributions a person does.

The workload on forums is way less on HC666 than previously has been. Numerous members have been let off mod due to having good standards and on top of that there are many mods aside from HC666.

Don't worry so much. Things are as they should be. We grow, and we evolve. All things in due time.

Thanks but I do not want to be clergy. It would be nice for the JoS to have more clergy members, so those who want to be clergy should step up more and do more here :)

Satan and the Gods decide this.

Yes you are right sister. Also I definitely understand that being clergy isn't for everyone, as major sacrifices of one's time, and extensive work is required.

You are right, hopefully we can have more clergy one day :)
