Facebook and Instagram finally ban white nationalism posts

Facebook has finally banned white nationalism on its services, reversing a long-held policy that such activity was not necessarily racist.

The social network said that it would ban "praise, support and representation" of white nationalism and separatism on both Facebook and Instagram, starting from next week.

The decision ends a long battle with civil rights activists, who argued that Facebook's policies were providing a loophole for neo-Nazis and other extremists to organise freely on its services.

Previously, Facebook drew a distinction between white nationalism, which it defined as calling for the separation of different races, and white supremacy, the belief that whites whites as superior to other races. Its moderation guidelines had described the former as "[not] always associated with racism".

But critics said that the two ideas were almost always intertwined, or even interchangeable, and that "white nationalism" was little more than a PR tactic by white supremacists to escape censure.

"Our policies have long prohibited hateful treatment of people based on characteristics such as race, ethnicity or religion – and that has always included white supremacy," said the company in a blog post.

"We didn’t originally apply the same rationale to expressions of white nationalism and separatism because we were thinking about broader concepts of nationalism and separatism – things like American pride and Basque separatism, which are an important part of people’s identity.

"But over the past three months our conversations with members of civil society and academics who are experts in race relations around the world have confirmed that white nationalism and separatism cannot be meaningfully separated from white supremacy and organised hate groups.

"Going forward, while people will still be able to demonstrate pride in their ethnic heritage, we will not tolerate praise or support for white nationalism and separatism."

The new policy was decided by Facebook's moderation policy board on Tuesday after a review of hate groups' activity on Facebook revealed that the two terms were "deeply linked".

The board first began considering a change to the policy last autumn, according to reports. Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook's chief operating officer, was involved in the decision but not present at the meeting.

It comes amid rising concern by Western governments and security experts about far-Right terrorism, whose adherents have often used Facebook to find new recruits and coordinate their campaigning.

AfV2EqL.jpg

Earlier this month, 50 people were killed in shootings at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand by an anti-Muslim extremist who live-streamed his massacre on Facebook. In the UK, the number of people referred to Prevent, an anti-radicalisation programme, for far-Right ideology jumped by 36pc between 2017 and 2018.

Now the company will ban phrases such as "I am a proud white nationalist" and "white separatism is the only answer", as well as modifying search results for white supremacist keywords, such as "heil Hitler", to redirect users to Life After Hate, an anti-racist organisation founded by former extremists.

Civil rights groups welcomed he decision. Rashad Robinson, the president of Colour of Change, said he was "glad to see the company's leadership take this critical step forward" and called on tech firms to "act urgently to stem the growth of white nationalist ideologies".

Separately, Facebook agreed last week to pay $5m (£3.8m) to civil rights groups that accused it of letting advertisers discriminate against minorities in housing, jobs and access to finance. It also banned advertisers from targeting such ads by age, gender or postal code.

Thomas Kadri, an academic who researches Facebook's moderation policies, said the decision showed Facebook is grappling more seriously with its role in regulating the speech of its more than 2bn users.

"These companies are in the business of establishing rules and values, whether they like it or not." he said. "They have to pick sides at some point.

"The idea that they can just sit back and rely on these external norms, when they are in the interim shaping them and shifting those norms, is naive and just wrong.

"Them sort of standing up and saying 'yes, this is our decision', and taking some ownership, I think is a step in the right direction."

Ellen Pao, a former chief executive of Reddit and advocate for diversity in Silicon Valley, said there should be "no cookie for Facebook", but called its new policy "better late than never".

A vigil for muslims, and White retards singing don't look back in anger after muslims did shit against Whites. Who else has "often used Facebook to find new recruits and coordinate their campaigning" and "live-stream their [sexual] massacres on Facebook"? Those streaming live videos of rape, perhaps?! There might have been some referred to anti-radicalisation programmes, just as there were those muslims who were put on "Do not rape" courses, who then went out and raped again. Also see these -

The Doomsday Vault’s home is already altered by climate change. A report says it could get worse.

Few places have served as a locus for the public’s anxiety about climate change as much as the Svalbard Global Seed Vault. The seed ark, popularly known as the “Doomsday Vault,” is embedded deep in the permafrost of a northerly Norwegian island and stores nearly a million samples from around the world for safekeeping in the event of war, famine, disease and, yes, climate change. It backs up gene banks around the globe, a fail safe for the fail safes.

It is supposed to be indestructible, the frigid landscape serving as a natural coolant for the genetic material it protects. And yet, climate change has been profoundly affecting the region, causing permafrost to melt, avalanches to strike and, on one notable occasion, water to collect and freeze at the beginning of the tunnel to the vault.

That latter phenomenon led to a flurry of panicked headlines in 2017; on the Internet, where such events can take on an ominous significance, the pessimistic conclusion was that if the Doomsday Vault is doomed, so are we.

The vault is probably going to be okay. But its occasional troubles put a focus on a much bigger problem - its home is undergoing rapid change thanks to the warming climate.

Svalbard was considered ideal for the bank, due to low tectonic activity and its permafrost, which will aid preservation. Even if sea levels rise due to climate change - and the melting of ice caps, the seeds will be safe and dry , as they are stored at a location 130 metres (430 ft) above sea level. .The Svalbard Global Seed Vault provides a safety net against accidental loss of diversity from traditional storage within genebanks around the world, and has a capacity for 4.5 million seeds. Although the media has made much of the 'Doomsday Vault's' role in providing security in the face of war or or catastrophe, the operators - the Norwegian government and the Global Crop Diversity Trust and the Nordic Genetic Resource Centre - say that it will be most useful when genebanks lose samples due to mismanagement, accident, equipment failures, funding cuts and natural disasters. A report on climate change in the Svalbard archipelago released this year by the Norwegian Centre for Climate Services and commissioned by the Norwegian Environment Agency states that “from 1971 to 2017, a warming of 3-5 degrees Celsius has been observed … with the largest increase in winter and the smallest in summer.” The estimated average temperature for Svalbard is -8.7 degrees Celsius.

“We know that the warming in this area has been very fast during the last five decades, seen in a global perspective,” said Inger Hanssen-Bauer of the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, who was one of the editors of the study.

Currently, Svalbard’s glaciers are “losing more ice through melting and calving than they are accumulating through snowfall,” according to the report. “All of the well-observed glaciers are shrinking.” The warming of the surrounding ocean “has halted sea ice from forming."

But the predictions for the future are even more stark. The report projects changes from a period of 1971-2000 until 2071-2100 based on various scenarios for global warming set out by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). “Under medium to high scenarios for future climate emissions,” the annual air temperature will increase by approximately 10 degrees Celsius under high emissions and 7 degrees Celsius under medium emissions, scientists found.

That temperature increase will lead to drastic changes for the region, according to the report. Heavy rainfall will occur more frequently. Avalanches and mudslides will happen more often. The snow season will become shorter. In the high-emission scenario, near-surface permafrost is predicted to melt in coastal and low-altitude areas.

The report does contain a caveat. “Inadequate knowledge of the climate system’s sensitivity and of future natural climate variations, as well as limitations in the climate models, lead to large uncertainties in the projections even under a given emission scenario,” the scientists wrote. “It is still clear that reduced greenhouse gas emissions will lead to reduced changes in the physical climate.”

The town is a hub for Arctic explorers and scientists and home to the Global Seed Vault. The city has been experiencing anomalies and occasional disasters thanks to the changing climate.

Houses are cracking and shifting because of the melting permafrost, which destabilises their foundations, CNN reported. A 2015 avalanche killed two people and injured nine — the types of avalanches the Norwegian report say will increase in frequency if emissions aren’t brought under control.

The Arctic overall has been highly susceptible to climate change. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s 2018 Arctic report card showed that “continued warming of the Arctic atmosphere and ocean are driving broad change in the environmental system in predicted and, also, unexpected ways.” NOAA showed that surface air temperatures in the Arctic were warming at “twice the rate relative to the rest of the globe,” among other concerning changes.

The IPCC has laid out stark projections for what catastrophes await the planet if global emissions are not curbed within the next few years. The problem is global in scale, and the proposed solutions can become mired in international politics.

If it’s hard to keep focus, just think of the Doomsday Vault.

What do you mean "it will be most useful when genebanks lose samples"?

FBI to return Nazi-stolen art to Jewish collector's heirs

A painting stolen from the family of art collector Adolphe Schloss by Germans during the World War II occupation of France will be returned to his descendants in New York, the French consulate said in a statement on Tuesday.

The painting, Dutch artist Salomon Koninck's 1639 "A Scholar Sharpening His Quill," was part of an important collection of Flemish and Dutch works owned by Schloss, a Jewish man who lived in Paris.

Its return on 1st April, facilitated by FBI agents, will take place at the French consulate under the watch of French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian and representatives from the Jewish community, according to the statement.

The identities of Schloss's descendants were not immediately available.

A collection of 333 paintings owned by Schloss was originally stored in southern France during World War II before the Nazis found and seized it.

Some of those works, including the Koninck painting, were then sent to Hitler's headquarters in Munich.

The painting resurfaced in November 2017 when a Chilean art dealer tried to sell it through a New York auction house, the Manhattan federal prosecutor said last year upon launching a formal procedure to return it to Schloss's heirs.

The seller explained to authorities that his father had purchased the piece in 1952 from Walter Andreas Hofer, the man who was in charge of buying art for Nazi leader Hermann Goring, and a major player on the stolen goods market.

Millions of items owned by Jews and in art galleries were confiscated under the Nazi-aligned French Vichy government's anti-Semitic laws during the German occupation.

With several major auction houses located in New York, Manhattan prosecutors regularly submit requests to return goods stolen during World War II.

schloss's descendents were not available - they all probably died in "the" holocaust. It's amazing that it takes the best part of a century to return these things to the kike (it's not returning them to the kike, but giving them to the kike's kikelettes). Is that because most or all of the people alive at the time are now dead, so it took this long because those people could tell a different story, that the items didn't belong to the kike at all?

Pennsylvania woman, 42, 'who shot her doomsday prepper boyfriend, 32, in the head blames online alien cult for turning against them and leaving him wanting to die'

A Pennsylvania woman accused of shooting her boyfriend in the head has blamed an online alien cult for turning against them and leaving him wanting to die.

Barbara Rogers, 42, killed Stephen Mineo, 32, during a dispute at their home in Tobyhanna in July 2017, prosecutors say.

The couple are said to have belonged to the online "Sherry Shriner" cult, which focuses on aliens and the end of the world, WNEP reports.

Rogers says that after the cult turned against them both, doomsday prepper Mineo wanted her to kill him, Monroe County Courthouse heard.

They had both been drinking until the early hours on the night of the shooting, according to prosecutors.

When they got home Mineo is said have suggested shooting his gun in the woods behind his home.

Rogers claims it was when they went back into the home Mineo told her to pull the trigger after putting the gun to his own head and placing her hands on the weapon.

She then called 911, according to investigators, telling them: 'My boyfriend had a gun. He told me to hold it here and press the trigger. Oh my God, he's dead.'

Cult members were said to have been convinced Rogers was a witch or a reptile who wanted to kill Mineo. But the alleged cult leader, Sherry Shriner, defended herself in a series of posts

Rogers has said the shooting was an accident as she did not know the gun was loaded. But prosecutors argue she could have stopped it.

Rogers has already rejected a guilty plea deal of third-degree murder.

Police lieutenant Steven Williams told WBRE in 2017: '(Rogers) identified that the deceased was having online issues with a cult and he wanted to be killed and requested she do it.'

The network reported how cult members were convinced Rogers was a witch or a reptile who wanted to kill Mineo.

And the alleged cult leader, Sherry Shriner, defended herself from allegations in a series of posts.

[My note: Excluded]

Shriner, who frequently rails against 'fake news', 'libtards', and the Democratic Party, wrote in 2017: 'I warned (Stephen) she was a Super Soldier who would kill him and move on... but I'm the "false prophet".

'Perhaps he finally figured her out..but it was too late for him. It wasn't the "online cult" that killed him... they always try and paint me as a cult...nice try libtards.'

In another post on Sunday night, Shriner wrote: 'They're trying to spin it that I'm responsible for Steve's death? No, Barb is. I tried to protect Steve. I tried to warn him about Barbara Rogers and he wouldn't listen to me.

'He thought I was insulting his 'wife'...when I was just trying to protect him from her! I knew what she was!

'They want to call me a cult leader? No. I'm just a humble servant and Messenger of the Most High. I've spent my life serving HIM and for that, I get beat up by Cain's kids, libtards, witches, Satanists, and haters everywhere.'

Mineo's social media accounts were full of posts about how the end of the world is coming and the need to prepare for it. He also spoke about the need to 'get right with god'.

It also claimed he married Rogers in October 2016. Rogers' Facebook page featured a number of posts on similar topics to Mineo's.

Regarding that reference to the book of daniel - come on, dan, you're not supposed to give the jew and its overlords' secrets away! However, a full, different, version, in a different "the" bible, mentions it in a more Earthly, rather than alien-invadery/rapey, way, which the jew has caused to happen already -

...and just as you saw the iron mixed with baked clay, so the people will be a mixture and will not remain united, any more than iron mixes with clay.

There's one problem with that, though - "god" cannot defeat iron. It admits so itself! Stupid "god".

Do you suppose that the members of this xian alien-hunting club were also were abused by "the most high" priests, as well?! I bet they continue to choose to ignore that scandal, though.

One of the Muslim attendee's, at the rally in New Zealand, for the Christchurch event. Stated in front of the entire crowd on loud speakers. That Mossad was behind the attack. A lot of people agreed with him. The narrative of the Jews continues to collapse as everyone is waking up to them. All the Jews can offer in return is the usual whining and false guilting.

The Bible cult, grey worshippers, that is what happens when people tie into the enemy.

This is a great post. I wish there was a way to keep these kind of topics pinned to always be seen by new members.

Fuck all of them and their soulless expressions.

Finally deleting my FB account, because it is not what it used to be. FB was doomed from the start, yes, but it was better with way less ads and little to no censorship/unnecessary bans.

Now it is just a cesspool of misinformed idiots, biased so-called "educated" idiots, misinformation from propaganda of the government, etc. The Metaverse, "meta" meaning "death" in Hebrew... It is the stupidest idea ever to think 90+% people would "want" to be so deeply involved with social media. VR video games are alright, but I never own/play them myself. I will curse Facebook, Meta, etc. Suckerberg can disappear for all I care.

With all the needless immigrations initiated via wars/global crimes/etc, the original populations (being inclusive of pioneer whites because they did have a positive relationship with the natives/indigenous in the beginning of "the New World") of countries like Canada/USA/Australia/etc. are being compromised financially for the sake of a lot of useless immigrants.

I understand fully now, what the Jews have orchestrated, over and over. It angers me because things could have been so different and better for everyone. Each country is better off with just tourism, and less pointless immigration.
