Washington, DC - The United States House of Representatives voted largely along party lines to impeach President Donald Trump for obstruction of Congress and abuse of power related to his dealings with Ukraine.

Trump is only the third president in US history to be impeached by the full House. Wednesday's votes set up a likely January trial in the Republican-controlled Senate.

Trump, who has denied any wrongdoing, took the stage at a Michigan rally as the House began voting on impeachment.

"Tonight the House Democrats are trying to nullify the ballots of tens of millions of patriotic Americans," Trump told the crowd.

The vote on abuse of power was 216-197. Two Democrats voted against the first article, and one voted present.

The vote on obstruction of Congress was 229-198, with three Democrats voting against the second article and one voting present.

At the centre of the Democrats impeachment of Trump was a July 25 telephone call the president had with newly elected Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Trump urged Zelenskyy in the call to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, and his son, Hunter, who was had served on the board of a Ukrainian gas company.

Joe Biden is a leading contender in the race for the Democratic nomination for president in 2020. There has been no evidence of any wrongdoing by the Bidens.

Democrats allege Trump abused the power of the US presidency by organising a scheme to extort a promise from Zelenskyy. At the time of the call, Trump was withholding $391m in military aid to help Ukraine defend against Russia.

Trump further conditioned a White House meeting for Zelenskyy on Ukraine announcing an investigation on a debunked conspiracy theory that Ukraine, not Russia, interfered in the 2016 US elections, according to witness testimony.

Trump and his Republican political allies have called the House's impeachment inquiry a "sham" and a "witch-hunt".

On Tuesday, the president sent a blistering letter to House Democratic leaders, accusing them of an attempted coup and declaring "war on American democracy".

"This is not a solemn occasion," said Representative Doug Collins, the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee.

"You've been wanting to do this ever since the gentlemen was elected," he added, referring to Trump.

I just posted about this too! Fucking kikes are at it again. Gives me more fuel to do the RTR

The Democrats just pushed Trump into another term the impeachment nonsense has pushed up support for Trump in the swing states.

This is all a waste of time. With the impeachment hearings, senators are required to attend, a lot of Democrat candidates are senators. This will do nothing but take time away from their campaigns, thus making it harder for themselves to get elected. This impeachment shit would never pass the Senate, and even if it did it would still have to go through the supreme court, which would never pass either, as they have no proof of crimes against the nation. Theyre only hurting themselves.

He's only impeached from the White House, so as long as Senates don't vote for impeachment he will be fine.
And I don't think a republican-majority Senates are going to impeach Trump.

With the help of our RtRs, this will only wake people up even more.

On a side note, each day Americans are proving to the whole world how retarded they are. Imagine half a nation happily fighting for their enslavement, and not any nation, but the only nation on this planet that has a free speech. And people are willingly and actively trying their best to sacrifice themselves and others to destroy it.

I seriously struggle to find sympathy for 99% of gentiles, even though I think this way of thinking is wrong and immature.

.... Until Mr. Turtle McConnell in the senate shuts it all down and cancels out all the charges. Just like democrats have the Congress, republicans have the Senate. And the Senate is more powerful. The reason they wanted to impeach him before election is they put it in there that part of the punishment is he can never hold any kind of office or position of power in any way politically or monetarily. It actually says that, so he would not be able to run for re-election, and he wouldn't even be able to be a business man anymore either. But McConnell said he's going to throw all that right in the garbage without even looking at it, and cancel it out like it never happened, because he knows it's all bullshit.

If you impeach trump now. Mike Pence becomes president. He can just pardon trump. Then either trump gets reelected or Pence. It just keeps going. They have literally no one on the democrat ticket anyone cares about. This continues 4 years and they are powerless to stop it.
