Vepar is listed on the site as a duke. The definition of a duke Duke is a male title either of a monarch ruling over a duchy, or of a member of royalty, or nobility. As rulers, dukes are ranked below emperors, kings, grand princes, grand dukes, and sovereign princes. If it's a male a male role ho how is ot possible a female is assuming it.

It's a translation of a concept. Duchess doesn't convey the same thing, a duchess is a wife of a duke.

It's because it's been copied from grimoires that referred to all Demons as if they were male, even if they explicitly said that the specific Demon appears as a woman. Here's an example from the Goetia translated by Mathers:

(56.) GREMORY, or GAMORI. - The Fifty-sixth
Spirit is Gremory, or Gamori. He is a Duke
Strong and Powerful, and appeareth in the Form
of a Beautiful Woman, with a Duchess’s Crown
tied about her waist, and riding on a Great Camel.
His Office is to tell of all Things Past, Present, and
to Come; and of Treasures Hid, and what they lie
in; and to procure the Love of Women both
Young and Old. He governeth 26 Legions of
Spirits, and his Seal is this, etc

The retardation here is obvious: it says Gremory (who is also listed as a "Duke") appears as a beautiful woman who wears a Duchess' Crown yet keeps referring to her as "he" and "his".

It is a little bit different. The titles are originally not supposed to be gendered, they are only titles and are neutral in their meaning, at least how they apply to the Gods is neutral.

It is a title showing their stature and rank, which has nothing to do with gender, this has become twisted later and due to translations of the original terms into the English language which gendered these terms the meanings were lost.

Things like Lord, Emperor, God, King, Duke, etc, these originally had nothing gendered about them. Same with the rankings they represent.

Prince for example is a vastly higher rank than emperor, or even God, when it comes to the Gods, as the highest rank are the 4 crowned princes of Hell.

It was only in the European court system where the crown prince became known as the inheritor of the king title, when in actuality this system has nothing to do with the denominations of ranks and titles as used by the Gods, and has twisted a lot of their meanings.

"It is my desire that all my followers unite in a bond of unity, lest those who are without prevail against them." - Satan
