China blackout on HM for their comment on xinjiang cotton. Nike, Uniqlo, Adidas Too Face Backlash over Xinjiang Cotton Ban. It raises serious protest against these brands among Chinese, online shopping platforms pulling its products and Chinese celebrities canceling endorsement deals.

According to a cached version of the deleted webpage, H&M had said it was “deeply concerned” about reports of forced labor and discrimination in Xinjiang. It said it was taking steps to “reduce exposure” in Xinjiang “until conditions for credible due diligence are in place.

here is interesting part:
H&M’s statement that it is cutting Xinjiang from its supply chain is actually months old.

It was not immediately clear why an old statement from H&M, which media had reported last year, about the cotton-producing region was back in the public eye.

When I searched their statement, including NIKE,ADIDAS,UNIQLO, they were all from 2019 or 2020, not 2021. It is suspicious, to think what they are planning.
