I don't know about best, but Mercury square is worth trying. If I'm not mistaken next best date for Mercury square is next January 13th during the hour of Mercury when Mercury is in Aquarius. Timing is very important even if you "only" use Mercury mantra outside of square.

Mercury will go into retrograde on the 19th this month.
To start the Mercury mantra, you could do a Mercury square, but make sure that it is a waxing moon to increase intelligence (make sure to do a working on a waning moon to get rid of issues that prevent you from acquiring knowledge BEFORE the Mercury square).
Make sure Mercury is in a compatible sign too.
Also, make sure to avoid void of course moon before any working or anything new you're doing.

The Mercury square is excellent to enhance the intellect. I'd recommend the spiritual square.

AIM SARASWATI, I've heard from others is great. The AIM is from the Mercury mantra, and Saraswati is a Goddess of intellect, knowledge, wisdom, learning.
The w is vibrated as a v, in her name.
AIM is like "aaahhh-eeeee-mmm".
Starting next week under the Aquarius Moon will be a good time, or you can wait for Mercury to enter Aquarius which won't be for quite a while though.

I keep forgetting it's November, so yes, Moon in Gemini works. I was thinking Gemini Moon would be waning (in earlier months than it is now) but it's not anymore. Mercury will also be in Aquarius sooner than I thought.

Manaz Rune: Mmaannaatss x 100 and affirm that you're growing in intelligence (not on voc moon). Listen to gamma waves 80 hz isochronic tones on youtube, which helped me regain my mind after benzos and weed years ago. It's one of the few brainwaves I trust on jewtube.
