I don't know if you are talking about trying to help this person who is a psychic vampire or if you are referring to the way of protecting yourself. But I would work better my aura of protection and make a banishment to the vampire of my life. I don't think it pays to help, the vampire will want to suck you more and more. Only help if he wants to be helped.

1: Anyone can be a "psychic vampire" it's not hard so that term you're suggesting is vague.
2: Don't bother with them unless they're intentionally trying to target you or someone you know, otherwise you keep them out of your life.
