Everything to the foundational root is energy, and energy is differentiating vibrations that each birth something into the universe via these influencing vibrations that forge specific constructs.
These constructs are what we equate to a specific energy as it's "rulerships". Rulerships are born of a foundational energy signature either singular or amalgamated and this is the means to why many things are connected with eachother such as planets, colours, elements and gemstones.
Sentience is the product of energy complexities differentiating from each other as separated contrasts that bounce differences between one another like lights bouncing off of mirrors. The differentiations and that contrast, those oppositional and varying forces are what we call as 'experiencing something'.
To put this into perspective, think of a bowl of water. That water knows nothing beyond what it is because it's just water, there's nothing else there, there's no contrast to equate to any kind of awareness because there's nothing to be aware of in it's little soul(bowl), so there's no thinking going on, no self-awareness, it just is.
Now let's add oil to float over top of that water. Suddenly there's something different, there's something there, something contrasting, something that has now forged a complexity of differentiation and now the water gets to 'experience' this. This water has now been opened up to something that is different from itself, it is no longer the only thing of which there was no awareness because there was nothing contrasting to be aware of, there is now something different. Now it's starting to feel different emotions because now there are different emotions of which to differentiate.
Let's add another different fluid that now floats over top of both the water and the oil. Damn what are all these complexities now? What's going on? I thought I was the only thing that existed? Now the water begins to question what it is if there are all these other different things than itself integrated into it's soul, all these different rulerships and energy signatures.
These three liquids all together have created what is known as a lesser sentient soul. It's not very intelligent because it's still very basic and simplistic, but is now a thinking construct and has some semblance of self-awareness.
The more complex a soul's construct becomes, the more differentiating factors that build it as a creation and the more experiences it feels therefore the more thoughts it thinks and the more thoughts it thinks the more self-awareness it attains and the more self-awareness it attains the more willpower and control it has over it's surroundings of the energies it is built from.
