Try to avoid "108" if you don't do it more than 40 days as a working. The number depends on your current power to handle energy and mental steadiness. If you can handle 216 vibrations and direct them, all good. If you can handle more than that also perfectly good and powerful of you.

Experiment first what you can do for a maximum. In time your capacity will improve. If you start to feel anxious, tired or any inconvenience that is over your limit or scares you..these are signs of your limit. You need to take care of your nervous system.

Also the effects of mantras can be felt hours apart from your vibration, even days if you are on a new experience, so be careful!

There are much higher numbers, 216 is a life number, it is the Satanic Rosary made 2 times in meditation, 108 is only a half life and half of the sexual energy, male or female and for this reason it is less effective for some meditations.

111 is a solar number. 136 is a Jupiter number, 175 is a Venus power number.
108 is a Saturn power number.
The maximum is based on the time you have to meditate and how much energy your soul can manage.

Which would be more powerful for Venus, 175 or 216 ?

If you are doing it 108 times then 3 extra to 111 isn't bad that is a much better number. Also 88 is another power number if you want to do less. I suppose someone could do some number in the thousands if they could handle it but no one's going to do that every day for a working so yeah you can do as many as you want just make sure it's something you can do every day if you start a 40 day working. 108 isn't the best number.
