Salem Burke started doing all this "angel magic" type stuff. If you know about Aleister Crowley, Burke was following down this kind of path with contacting all kinds of enemy entities and doing drugs. Burke was doing methamphetamine too. Could be drugs, curses, enemy entities, but most likely a mix of all 3.
