Regular, frequent exercise is also protective in this way.

Polyunsaturated fats are actually some of the best for you however they should be avoided in cooking as the heat damages them irreparably.
 
Thank you everyone for the feed back. And information. I really need to get back into excercizing again and eating better. This question was more for my fiance but at least I can do better to also stay healthy.
