Sun in 1st is a co-ruler, does that mean the House/Sign with Leo on the cusp will assume major significance in the life as well as any planets in that house/sign will become MORE emphasised? Alongside the main chart ruler.

Do you include Aries in this interpretation, since its the exaltation of the sun?

Yes, when the Sun is in the 1st house, it does function as a co-ruler of the chart, which is quite significant in a natal chart interpretation. When Leo is on any of the cusps, it indicates that Leo’s influence is significant in that area of life, whether it’s career, relationships, creativity, or personal transformation. The Sun rules Leo, and the house and cusps it occupies will give you clues about where the Sun’s energy is directed, and planets in Leo will bring extra emphasis to that area of life.

No, I usually do not include the exaltation's. However, if Aries falls on any house cusp, for example, it may take on a special significance as the exaltation of the Sun. For instance, if Aries is on the 7th house cusp, there might be a strong drive in relationships, with a need for partners who are independent, energetic, and bold. This also aligns with Marsian energies (Aries' ruling planet). If Aries is on the 10th house cusp, for example, the person might have an ambitious, pioneering approach to their career, often seeking leadership roles or careers that require initiative and assertiveness. Again, this aligns with Marsian energies.

Is there a link to what you said if I have North Node in Leo 10th house, but the cusp of the 10th is actually in Cancer? I also have Moon in the 1st conjunct Sun.

Even tho Leo is not on the cusp, but still occupies 10th, the energy of Sun will be sent there? Does this apply to other houses, such as ruler/"lord" of 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc. or only to chart and co-rulers.

Also, I have Mercury in the 2nd but it is only a few degrees away from the 1st. I'm told you can "count it" as being both in the 1st and 2nd. In this case, does Mercury also become a co-ruler?

I have my chart ruler in Virgo, and 3rd House is occupied by planets but 9th (Gemini) is empty... so would the cusp of Gemini assume significance as well, although it's empty? Planets in 3rd are aspecting fixed stars here, but not any actual traditional planets. How influential are fixed stars compared to the main planets in our solar system?

Also Aries is on my 7th House cusp like you said, but can it be that this energy will be "funelled" into where the rest of my Leo/Sun energy is going because it's the exaltation? So wanting independent, bold, energetic business partners for example? Can it indicate going into business with a lover?

And can I apply this logic to other signs that are ruled by two planets? So would wherever my Mars is, for example, be chanelled into all of the above and be considered as part of the information pertaining to the Leo/10th house stuff?

You can find and learn all of the information here: https://satanslibrary.org/English/Joy_of_Satan_Astrology.pdf

Even though the cusp of your 10th house is in Cancer, the presence of Leo (and the North Node) in the 10th house means that both Cancer and Leo energies influence your public life, career, and reputation. The North Node is of fate and may influence a need to express creativity, confidence, and leadership, as it is also placed in Leo. These qualities are part of your life’s purpose (North Node).

With the Moon (ruler of Cancer) conjunct the Sun in your 1st house, there is a strong blend of emotional and ego energies. Since the Sun rules Leo, this connection "funnels" the Sun's energy into your 10th house Leo themes, which reinforces the importance of leadership and self-expression in your career.

Mercury conjunct the Ascendant gives above average intelligence and a talent for communication. Mercury in the 2nd house therein makes you analytical, communicative, and detail-oriented about values, finances, and material security and how to obtain them.

Gemini on the 9th cusp of higher education with the ruling Mercury placed in the 2nd house of money and material possessions, you may study fields and earn your money through publishing, journalism, education, or commerce, where your ability to convey information plays a central role.

Aries ruling your 7th house cusp emphasizes bold, independent partnerships, and yes, this energy connects to the rest of your chart. There can be fighting, emotional turmoil and upsets within relationships, and violence potentially coming from your partner, and/or others, or anyone. This can also go both ways. It is a militaristic aspect. You may be drawn to partners who are independent, assertive, and possibly entrepreneurial.

Look at the ruling planet of the sign and determine which house it is placed in. Observe its degrees and the planets or fixed stars it aspects. Then, blend all this information to assess which influences support or offset one another.

Again, all of this can be studied in the links provided above.

Thanks for the insight, was very helpful.

I've read through most of those resources and used it to read my chart, but the depth of information feel's a bit limited at this point?

I'd like to ask about another thing.

The ruler of my Aries DC is Mars in Sagittarius 3rd (25°), along with Pluto in the 3rd (8°) which is also within a few degree's of the 2nd House.

Pluto is conjunct 0° Antares and opposite 0° Aldebaran, and Mars is conjunct 0° Aculeus.

There's other fixed stars aspecting them, but I'm interested in these one's in particular.

I've searched a little bit (admittedly not enough), but I can't seem to find much info about these fixed stars in relation to my natal planet's. I've relied on ChatGPT, which is okay, but seem's to make some mistakes.

Are the HOUSE these fixed stars located in a contributing factor?

How significant are thing's like Chiron, Lillith etc., because they're both in hard aspect to Pluto/Mars and I think it's giving me weird communication inhibition's, but also a powerful voice/oratory, yet it's constricted, almost monotone unless I'm talking about something I'm passionate about. And it's such a weird dynamic, it feel's almost like having asperger's or something.

This is not possible. Pluto in the 3rd house is not within your 2nd house; it is in a loose conjunction with your 2nd house cusp. When you read a Solar or Lunar return, you can interpret the return cusp or houses as being above your natal placements as an indication of what, how, and where things may manifest. In such cases, a Solar/Lunar return house can become intercepted above the natal chart houses.

Pluto is conjunct 0° Antares and opposite 0° Aldebaran, and Mars is conjunct 0° Aculeus.

Pluto is conjunct by 1° degrees to Antares, not 0° degrees. The Mars conjunct 0° degrees to Aculeus is correct, as the degree is exact.

Are the HOUSE these fixed stars located in a contributing factor?

Yes, definitely. Fixed stars carry unique qualities and influences, and their effects are filtered through the Planets and houses they occupy.

I read quite a long time ago (back when we operated in the Yahoo! groups) where HPS Maxine explained that Chiron is lesser in effect and therefore not significant to include in readings. I have read three natal chart readings that Maxine did, and she never included Chiron or Dark Lilith.

Dark Lilith, or just Lilith, is a calculated point (not a physical body), and its influence is more symbolic or psychological. It may point to repressed or shadowed qualities of the psyche; what is buried in the subconscious from a past life.

There's other fixed stars aspecting them, but I'm interested in these one's in particular.

With your DC in Aries and ruling Mars in Sagittarius conjunct Aculeus and Acumen in your 3rd house, and opposite Alnilam, you are a dynamic communicator with a sharp, outspoken nature that often draws attention, both positive and critical. Mars conjunct Aculeus and Acumen is not the best thing; you must watch out and be aware. You may be prone to facing challenges such as misunderstandings, gossip, or verbal attacks. You and those you communicate with can cause unnecessary quarrels that may result in violence due to a lack of tact, bluntness in your speech, and misunderstandings, as Mars can be malefic in this regard.

With Pluto 8° in Sagittarius in your 3rd house therein, conjunct Antares, and opposite Epsilon Tauri and Aldebaran, you possess an intense and transformative mind, with a fearless drive to challenge societal norms and fight against oppression, particularly in areas tied to education, religion, and philosophy. The conjunction with Antares imbues you with a warrior spirit and the courage to face unpredictable changes, though self-discipline is key to avoid any self-undoing. The oppositions to Epsilon Tauri and Aldebaran balance your sense of ambition, and gives you scientific and occult ability. It is crucial for you to channel your powerful communication skills and thirst for knowledge toward constructive and impactful goals. For example, you can become a great astrologer.

Luckily, these planets are placed in Sagittarius, which gives you protection in dire circumstances. However, with these aspects combined, you should clean your chakras and aura thoroughly, and raise a steady and strong Aura of Protection to avoid the malefic tendencies these aspects can bring, especially as they are focused into your immediate environment.

Oh, I was going by what the JoS Astrology calculator said, which was 0'something degrees.

I thought the limit was 4/5 degree's, where it can still be counted into the next house?

And is the limit different for luminaries? Does the 10 degree limit only apply to regular conjunctions rather than house cusps?

With Lillith/Chiron, for me it's quite accurate but perhaps it's because it's making hard contacts to two inherently powerful planets, thus amplifying their traits.

My Mercury (communication, speech) is in Scorpio, so would this automatically connect and amplify the traits of Pluto in the 3rd (and thus, all of the traits of the fixed star contacts as well), since both of their "themes" are the same, particularly in regards to communication/speech.

"Luckily, these planets are placed in Sagittarius, which gives you protection in dire circumstances" --- For some reason, even when I'm just walking around doing nothing, I attract a lot of enemies and people who want to fight me due to misunderstandings, especially from black's. And random crazy near-death situation's. Every time I go outside something weird happens, like a car crash in front of me, or someone threatening my life over nothing. However, these people always seem to be neutered or "dissolved" in some way... could this be as a result of having Jupiter in the 7th? It's also within 1.5 degrees of the 8th House cusp, which maybe "expands" my contact with death which is ruled by the 8th house? But how would this play out if Jupiter is retrograde?

Can having two planets in the same house/sign act similar to a conjunction between said planets, or at least "appear" that way in a weaker form?

And if the two planet's are powerful enough, such as Mars/Pluto, can this act similarly to a stellium simply because of how powerful/dominating the energies of those two planets are? As in, could they gain the same level of importance in the chart as a chart ruler/co-ruler?

And what does it mean if many of my planet's are with their counterparts? Sun next to Moon, Jupiter next to Saturn, Uranus next to Neptune etc.

If a planet is retrograde, do I inherit the traits of the sign it's in as well as the standalone planet, or just the planet in relation to the sign/house? For example, if Saturn is retrograde, do I obtain Saturn/Capricornian/10th House traits, or just "Saturn in Taurus 8th House" traits? And would this also apply to Uranus and Neptune as well, despite being generational influences?

Also, is it possible to mute the expression of my 1st House? I feel totally naked, and I don't like that people can see my emotion's so easily. Or is it too difficult to overcome, since it's my ego and the "virgin" part of the soul which apparently never changes. I hate it though, and I dislike being so agreeable, yet also being rebellious. My soul feel's pulled apart by these contradiction's. Would it be damaging to try to change?

I come into contact with retard's all the time, and I really can't hide my contempt for andrapod-like behaviour, no matter how hard I "try" it's written all over my face, or else they'll assume I'm scheming and trying to be Machiavellian. It's genuinely a threat to my safety, which is why I ask.

There was some black guy who's family is a bunch of gang member's. And he wanted to fight me after school, but then the day before his leg's became paralysed and his brother was killed in a gang fight, so he lost the "will" - and that is the dynamic that tends to play out elsewhere but less drastic. Or they just suddenly change their mind's, and want my approval/forgiveness. At some point, because of this dynamic I just became a recluse and stopped going outside until I discovered the JoS, and now it's happening all over again... but what I don't understand is, I'm a very nice person and treat people with fairness. My Sun/Moon AC is literally in the sign of Libra, so I'm very much oriented towards peace/diplomacy and it's also visible all over my face. I don't know what the fuck is wrong with these people and why they're always trying to start on me, or what kind of karma could cause this level of situational irony.

JoS Astro seem to use a general system that aligns with other astro services, which can be the reason why they do not include 8 degree conjunctions for the major aspects. This is just speculation on my part though.

It clearly says that for the major aspects; the conjunctions, squares, trines, and oppositions, can be extended to an 8-9 degree orb, not 10. Pluto is extreme and intense, so that orb can be widen for certain aspects/transits, same for Saturn in synastry.

You have overlooked some information and details here. You need to study the links I gave you, thoroughly. Many of your questions are actually answered in the Astrology section of JoS, and the Astrology PDF. I have spent 10 years of learning Astrology from JoS, and there are still minor things I have overlooked as well. There are still much to learn. When you have learned the foundation the JoS brings, which is excellent, you can begin to learn more on your own, as you can clearly see what is false or not.

I base my answer on the information you provide, so it is limited of how much I am able to actually interpret and help, since I do not have an overview of your chart (please do not share this).

With Lillith/Chiron, for me it's quite accurate but perhaps it's because it's making hard contacts to two inherently powerful planets, thus amplifying their traits.

Do what you feel is best regarding Chiron and Lilith. I do not include them in my readings, and probably never will.

My Mercury (communication, speech) is in Scorpio, so would this automatically connect and amplify the traits of Pluto in the 3rd (and thus, all of the traits of the fixed star contacts as well), since both of their "themes" are the same, particularly in regards to communication/speech.

Yes, Pluto will further amplify its effects here. You may communicate with great intensity and could have a tendency to harbor important secrets. It’s essential to guard your emotions and keep them in check, as neglecting them could lead to a nervous breakdown over time.

Can having two planets in the same house/sign act similar to a conjunction between said planets, or at least "appear" that way in a weaker form?

Two or more planets in the same house strengthens the affairs of that house. Two planets can be in the same house, but in two different signs. This is explained in the Astrology pdf.

It's also within 1.5 degrees of the 8th House cusp, which maybe "expands" my contact with death which is ruled by the 8th house? But how would this play out if Jupiter is retrograde?

Hence, keeping your energies high, cleanse your soul, and raise a strong aura of protection. Jupiter retrograde brings inner peace and contentment, channeling its expansive energies inward to nourish your soul. Retrograde planets can create a sense of restriction or feeling held back somehow, as there are delays. However, their influence often matures and blossoms after your first Saturn return, typically between the ages of 28 and 30. This can make someone less restricted in that regard, and make their second part of their life more successful.

Jupiter in the 7th is very positive, as it offsets a bit the malefic influence of your Aries DC. With your Jupiter here, If you adhere to spiritual practices, and raise a strong aura of protection, you'll be fine and well.

And if the two planet's are powerful enough, such as Mars/Pluto, can this act similarly to a stellium simply because of how powerful/dominating the energies of those two planets are? As in, could they gain the same level of importance in the chart as a chart ruler/co-ruler?

No. An emphasis on a particular sign, or multiple emphases, adds additional layers to your personality, character, and nature. But their influence will not be equal to a stellium or co-ruler, unless they are part of this. One I know has an Aries emphasis and a Gemini emphasis; suggesting someone who is outgoing, quick-thinking, and thrives on new experiences, though they might sometimes act impulsively and selfish (Aries) or seem scattered and fidgety (Gemini) due to their need for constant stimulation and variety.

And what does it mean if many of my planet's are with their counterparts? Sun next to Moon, Jupiter next to Saturn, Uranus next to Neptune etc.

Check their aspects in JoS, it should be at the very bottom when you read a planets' signs and houses. For example, Jupiter/Saturn influences a hard outlook on life, and there can be much responsibility (usually within the affairs of the house(s) they occupy).

No, the energies of the planet turns inward in your soul and soul development. Retrograde planets affects the self and self-perception. The energies of a retrograde Saturn is something you will draw in and project upon yourself. For example, you become very self-critical and hard on yourself, and you may even lack boundaries. You will not inherently acquire a 10th house Capricorn with a retrograde Saturn. The same goes for a retrograde Uranus and Neptune.

You can perform Sun squares and other workings using Runes or Sanskrit to enhance your character and strengthen your sense of self. Always strive for excellence. Emotional maturity will develop gradually as you progress spiritually. Additionally, you can perform a working during a Waxing Moon in Taurus to benefit from its emotionally mature and calm nature.

There was some black guy who's family is a bunch of gang member's. And he wanted to fight me after school, but then the day before his leg's became paralysed and his brother was killed in a gang fight, so he lost the "will" - and that is the dynamic that tends to play out elsewhere but less drastic. Again, your Aries descendant and Mars in Sagittarius in the 3rd house suggest that conflict or assertion may arise through communication and your immediate environment (3rd house). For example, this can attract fiery, blunt individuals or situations where boldness and confrontation can happen.

Sometimes, people become so absorbed in their own concerns and agendas that they project these onto others without consideration or care for anyone else. Their focus remains fixed on fulfilling their own ego's. In such cases, there is only so much one can do, but the most crucial thing is to keeping ones vibrations high through Power Meditations, Yoga, and raise a strong and steady aura of protection. This will ultimately acts as a shield by deflecting any negativity and preventing it from taking a hold in your life.

Again, your questions are thoroughly addressed in the Astrology PDF. Take your time studying it without rushing this. If something feels unclear to you, or you sense you've missed something, pause for a while and spend time in meditation. Afterward, revisit the material with a refreshed perspective, which may help you expand your understanding and grasp the concepts more fully and clearly.
