How important is astrological timing in runic and empowerment workings?

Lets say I were to use Thurisaz to increase my strength would it be better to start immediately or wait lets say 13 days for something like the Spring equinox or Esabt or a date better suited for such a working (purely hypothetical I know those aren't the dates) would the extra 13 days be more useful for such a working than starting on a more powerful day or is it the other way round?
This is more for future reference, obviously if its just a day or two I assume I should wait but what if its over a week should I still wait or is it better to just get on with it.

Coordinating with astrological alignment, "gives" you a "higher power" than not doing so.

If you have, for example, transiting Jupiter on your natal Mars, working with Thurisaz to increase your "strength" will have a greater impact than when this alignment is not present.

Its more just a hypothetical as im wondering for future reference if its worth me waiting to do a working for a better astrological timing or if just starting immediately and therfore doing more days would be superior so as an example using thurisaz to increasing strength on a "normal" day versus waiting two weeks to start on a superior day, I know for working that affect others its better to wait but what if its about self improvement should I still wait or would the extra two weeks of working be superior?

I never really bothered timing my self improvement with the planets before and instead took the approach of start now and do it for more days instead of waiting for a better timing and im wondering if I should change that.

You won't always have perfect dates, but just try to get it as good as possible. For example, Mars just left Capricorn which is not as good for this working, but today is a Waning Moon in Aries on a Tuesday, which would be positive factors.

Sometimes it is hard to tell exactly which date is stronger and you shouldn't necessarily fret over this. Regarding whether to start now or later, this is based upon if the working is a priority for you or not. Sometimes you can start earlier and build some positive growth, then restart on a better date, although keep in mind this is not always efficient to do.

Regarding the Spring Equinox itself, I believe this relates more to the Sun or other broader astrological factors. I would have to go back and reference this. Normally it is Mars which relates mostly to power and muscular strength, so the placement of this planet would be the first priority to check.

Waiting for some weeks is not a lot, sometimes it is worth it.

The longer the working also, the best to wait for a proper timing. It can be also a matter of success or not. As much as you want to find a good date, a perspective to have, first you must realize that there can be bad dates too, and those can be avoided.

Urgent things, critical and of health issues, you can start them as fast as possible, within the time frame of also if you want and is possible, stopping and starting again when the next best date comes as JG Blitzkreig stated.

This is how I do it sometimes. For example some very important date comes in 70 days. As I wait for that important moment, I do a small base of xx days for said working. I stop it/finish it with breathing room of days and start again on that proper date with improved affirmation, and now I do it much longer and powerful. Knowing also you have some backbone in this, it can be very effective.

As you are getting to begin with these, improve, experiment with workings, timing can be negligible as it is about learning and getting to handle magic for now. For longer and important workings, you must use the calendar and start to plan.

The difference between random date and a planned date (based on even small reasoning such as what day it is, hours and signs) is very big. But to use these dates you must prepare in time by this process of doing workings and applying yourself as you like and can.

For "Thurisaz" strength working, you can start it now on a normal day, see the effects for a few days. If it is alright, you can stop it and start anew on the powerful date. During this you might find ways to improve, measure the quantity and quality, so when the powerful date comes, you are fully solid in your mind and also you do not get surprised by the powerful effects.
