There are important aspects to address in this topic, I will try not to extend too much for a comfortable reading.
Energy is an aspect that encompasses all the senses, not only the sense of sight. During my path I had been very frustrated with the issue of not being able to see the energy and not being able to visualize correctly.
I thought this would be very bad and for months I had a misconception about it. My misconception about this was that I would not be able to perform magic correctly and that perhaps the results would not be optimal.
This misconception was a constant self-sabotage, however, during my experiences I noticed that the way I felt the energy on my skin was much more intense, and I detected that trying to visualize what I was bringing with me was a distraction from my meditations, it completely obstructed all my meditation.
Over time I began to notice that when I felt the energy is transmitting emotions / feelings / thoughts, for example although I can not see the white energy, I know clearly when I'm using it, because when I use that color I feel a sense of freshness, as freshly bathed, I feel light and all this, over time was manifesting the sense of listening, then certain colors transmit a sound in me, ie, my mind associated with a sound that is so unique to each color.
When I started reading the book "Stop Being You" by Dr. Joe Dispenza I was able to understand the power of emotions and the power of the other senses. Many times we limit ourselves to visualizing, but energy can be worked with the other senses.
It made me wonder, does energy have taste, smell, touch and sound, and is it possible that my method of detecting energy is through the other senses?
I realized that just as synaesthetes can see shapes, perhaps musicians feel energy differently.
This allowed a deeper and more internal exploration to determine my sense of energy. While correct visualization is recommended, this is not absolute, other senses come into play here, such as those I mentioned above, but emotions also come into play.
Learning to direct the energies is the basis of effective magick, however we must all keep in mind that this is individual, I may direct the energy through sound but maybe someone else can direct it through touch.
One person may see the energy of others, see their aura and all that, but we will have another person feel the energy and even use their sense of smell for it.
Energy is not simply limited to sight, we must keep that very much in mind. A musician may see the energy in his mind as musical scores, even someone with a keen sense of taste may be able to detect its flavor.
We have said that the energy takes the path of least resistance and this makes sense, as it will help you make the right sense in order to increase your power in magick. The Gods often help to detect which is the best way for you to work with it and make the most sense to you.
This should be kept in mind when working with magic, do not be limited by what others say, explore what is easiest for you.
